Nursing wage lawsuit in Illinois dismissed

In an apparent victory for health-care employers, Federal District Judge John Grady has dismissed a suit by Illinois nurses against a group of Chicago-area hospitals that alleged a conspiracy to suppress wages.  According to the National Law Journal (link to story here), the key moment occurred last October when Judge Grady denied class certification to the nurses.  The dismissal with prejudice was the result of a settlement the defendants made with the plaintiff nurses.
